Norfolk Wildlife Trust
Pure Executive are delighted to be working with Norfolk Wildlife Trust on the appointment of two key hires - Director of Finance and Support Services, and Interim Digital Transformation Consultant.
For nearly a century, the esteemed Norfolk Wildlife Trust have been committed to the conservation of Norfolk’s wildlife: a commitment expressed in land acquisition, habitat restoration, education, engagement and advocacy. They are passionate about wildlife and have ambitious plans to make it abundant and thriving in Norfolk.
Here's how they are achieving this:
- They own and manage more than 60 nature reserves and protected sites covering an area of over 5,000 hectares and are working on a landscape scale to rebuild and re-connect fragile ecological areas.
- They're supported by more than 39,000 members, about a third of which are outside Norfolk. Of all the Wildlife Trusts, they have the fourth largest membership within the national Wildlife Trust movement.
- They manage the Norfolk County Wildlife Sites designation, where more than 1,300 sites cover 15,000 hectares.
- There are 90 businesses enrolled in their Investors in Wildlife scheme.
- In 2023/24, 1,500 committed volunteers supported every aspect of their work, from wildlife surveying to administration.
- They have four visitor centres and a thriving education centre offering events, workshops and exhibitions.
- In 2023/24 they connected over 11,000 children and young people with nature on their nature reserves, in education settings and at events.
- They are active participants in the mission of The Wildlife Trusts to secure 30 per cent of our land and sea for nature’s recovery by 2030.
Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s vision is a Norfolk where nature is abundant, thriving and valued and to achieve this NWT’s mission to create more space for nature to thrive and more people taking action for nature.
- Where the future of wildlife is protected and enhanced through sympathetic management.
- Where people are connected with, inspired by, value and care for Norfolk’s wildlife and wild spaces.
